This training session will assist participants to:
Explore family’s cultural context and understanding of children’s behaviour
Manage conflicting priorities and difficult situations
Introduce empathy as a tool, and consider different perspectives including children, parents and educators
Look behind the behaviour and the reasons for the behaviour
Identify strategies to better understand and respond to challenging behaviour
Consider self care strategies when feeling overwhelmed
