Colin has held a range of senior executive positions with government agencies, the private sector and non-government organisations for 15 years.  In 1999 he combined his skills and experience with Anthony Semann and founded Semann and Slattery.

For the last 10 years Colin has been highly sought after as a change facilitator and coach for individuals and organisations. His unique leadership coaching and mentoring style encourages participants to embrace change on a personal level enabling positive change to occur on a professional business level. Participants of Colin’s mentoring and coaching programs acknowledge his ability to inspire and his supportive and encouraging approach.

Anthony Semann

Anthony is a Director at Semann & Slattery. Anthony has worked as an educator, innovator and advocate with a broad range of government and private organisations. For the past 15 years Anthony has worked as an educator, innovator and advocate with a broad range of government, non-government and private organisations.  His skills and expertise has seen him work with organisations across Australia and overseas including Columbia University, New York as well as in France and New Zealand.

 

What began as a young teachers desire to help individuals transform the quality of their lives, relationships and values, led to Anthony combining his skills and knowledge with Colin Slattery and in 1999 they founded Semann and Slattery. This is a company truly committed to transformative practices and philosophies.

Anthony is one of the most dynamic young professionals in Australia today. He is in demand as a presenter, facilitator and public speaker which has seen him deliver over 70 opening addresses and over 100 conference papers at national and international conferences.

Anthony is an innovative and inspirational trainer and educator. He has delivered over 600 professional development programs. Participants of these programs acknowledge his outstanding ability to empower, transform and assist organisations and people, leading them to excel and be more responsive to their clients.  He has an exceptional capacity to challenge organisations and people and have them reflect on how their approaches to communication, leadership, diversity, values, relationships and workplace culture affect their services, businesses and ultimately the community.

Anthony’s achievements have been publicly recognised by his peers and the broader community and he has been awarded the Young Manager of the Year Award and the Early Childhood Australia Inaugural Advocate of the Year Award.

 

Anthony is currently completing a PhD at Macquarie University.  His PhD is an international study of courage and its relationship to leadership.

Cristyn Davies

Cristyn is an experienced researcher, writer, editor, and tertiary educator. She has authored and co-authored numerous academic publications across a broad range of disciplinary areas including Cultural Studies, Media Studies, Literary Studies, Childhood and Youth Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and Education. Cristyn is currently completing a Phd in the Department of English at the University of Sydney.

Cristyn is an experienced researcher, writer, editor, and tertiary educator. She has authored and co-authored numerous academic publications across a broad range of disciplinary areas including Cultural Studies, Media Studies, Literary Studies, Childhood and Youth Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and Education. She is a recipient of a grant from Literature Board of the Australia Council for the Arts and was selected by the Australia Council and the Australian Film, Television and Radio School to participate in the Laboratory of Advanced Media Production residency. Cristyn has also published in literary journals and has collaborated with academics, writers, performance artists, and digital and new media artists on a range of projects. She has presented at numerous international and national conferences and writers’ festivals.

Cristyn has been involved in a number of major research projects including those funded by the Australian Research Council. She is an expert in qualitative research methodologies, including discourse analysis, focus groups, interviews, and textual analysis. Cristyn is adept at applying a broad range of critical and socio-cultural theories to research findings.

Frances Kelly

Frances has a background in Social Work, having held a range of senior policy, direct service and management positions. Frances has held social work positions in both Government and community based organisations and well as senior policy positions at both local and state government levels. Her experience across the sector in both social work and social policy have provided a high level of insight to the dynamics of human relations and places her in good stead as a policy advisor and consultant.

Frances Kelly

Frances is an experienced social policy analyst, researcher and group facilitator.  Frances has a background in Social Work, having held a range of senior policy, direct service and management positions. Frances has worked in a variety of positions and settings within the human services sector over a twenty-year period. She has held social work positions in both Government and community based organisations and well as senior policy positions at both local and state government levels.

Frances has authored a number of research reports analyzing the impact of social and public policy on community functioning and well-being. Her experience across the sector in both social work and social policy have provided a high level of insight to the dynamics of human relations and places her in good stead as a consultant, researcher, facilitator and policy advisor.
