Why don’t we talk anymore?

Talk about the things that matter – create a culture of mutual respect, foster open communication, respect, and accountability within your team APST 7: Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community Presented by Philip Butler

Description

As a team, we must focus on key areas to ensure quality outcomes. These areas include our environments, materials, documentation practices, routines, relationships with families, curriculum drivers, and IT. By coming together and engaging in regular critical reflections and team discussions, we can create a culture of mutual respect, openness to change, and team accountability. It's important to remember that there is no one ‘best’ way of doing anything. However, by promoting inclusivity and openness, we can embrace the fact that the best way for us is the best way for our current team and community.

Completing Why don't we talk anymore? Getting teams talking about the things that matter may contribute one hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) criteria for Elective PD and addresses:

The Australian Professionals Standards for Teachers: APST 7: Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community

The National Quality Standard: QA 7: Governance and leadership
