Topic areas include:
- receptive language development (comprehension)
- what to expect and when
- express language development, including vocabulary development

Completing Language development for under 5s contributes one hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) criteria for Elective PD and addresses:
The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers: APST 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
The Early Years Learning Framework: Learning Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators
