Creating cultures in the early childhood space for teachers to thrive, flourish and transform: embracing the lyrical to be, belong and become

Presented by Dr Karen Szydlik (aka Schaller)

Description

In this webinar, Karen shares the successes and challenges she has experienced in creating and maintaining places for teachers to be, belong and become.

How do we create spaces for teachers and educators to be authentic, to grow, to transform, so that they in turn, can be 'present' to the children they teach?

Educator wellbeing is essential to the teaching project. How is it we are so good at providing these rich spaces for children but not so good at providing them for ourselves? How might we?

Karen believes teaching is a creative pursuit. She looks to the arts; to the lyrical and the poetic, to shape these places and spaces and wonders if others might too so that they can be well and present and flourish in their professional and private lives.

Completing Creating cultures in the early childhood space for teachers to thrive, flourish and transform: embracing the lyrical to be, belong and become may contribute one hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) criteria for Elective PD and addresses:
