Recognising that readiness and transitions are critical aspects of children’s lives is crucial. Early childhood educational settings are the first step in a child’s educational journey. Heading to school is the next step and a big transition in a child’s life. There is no one-size-fits-all approach as it needs to acknowledge each child’s disposition and contextualise their family. This webinar will discuss what school readiness means, offer positive transition strategies, and effective ways to plan for transitions. We will also explore ways to assist families, how we can have meaningful conversations to support their understanding of the readiness and transition process, provide information and ensure everyone understands their role.
