Planning for… Infants

Learn how to design age-appropriate environments supporting infant learning, focusing on cognitive, social and emotional growth. APST 1: Know children and how they learn Presented by Philip Butler

Description

Together, we will explore effective strategies for planning infant learning and development. We will focus on creating enriching, age-appropriate environments that support cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Key areas include understanding developmental milestones, designing engaging learning opportunities to stimulate sensory and motor skills, and fostering secure relationships that enhance learning. Educators and caregivers will gain practical tools to create individualised learning plans that cater to each infant's unique needs, ensuring a nurturing and supportive foundation for lifelong development.

Completing Planning for... Infants may contribute one hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) approved criteria and addresses:

The Australian Professionals Standards for Teachers: APST 1: Know children and how they learn

Early Years Learning Framework Learning Outcomes: Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners

The National Quality Standard: QA 1: Educational program and practice
