Moving beyond rigid question-and-answer templates for critical reflection, this webinar offers playful, thought-provoking pathways that align more with your natural ways of working APST 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning Presented by Bron Reed
Description
Critical reflection (Element 1.3.2 of the NQS) can be argued to be at the heart of practice and is recognised as a key driver in achieving the NQS of exceeding quality rating. Why, then, does it remain one of the top five elements most frequently assessed as ‘not met’ (ACECQA, 2020)? This reported outcome indicates a consistent challenge for educators across the sector.
Moving beyond rigid question-and-answer templates, we offer playful, thought-provoking pathways that may align more with your natural ways of working. Whether you’re seeking inspiration, practical tools, or a fresh perspective, this session aims to build confidence and clarity in using reflection as a tool for continuous improvement in everyday practice.
Completing Critical reflection: a playful approach may contribute one hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) approved criteria and addresses:
The Australian Professionals Standards for Teachers: APST 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
The National Quality Standard: QA 1: Educational program and practice
