Critical reflection: a playful approach

Critical reflection (Element 1.3.2 of the NQS) can be argued to be at the heart of practice and is recognised as a key driver in achieving the NQS of exceeding quality rating. Why, then, does it remain one of the top five elements most frequently assessed as ‘not met’ (ACECQA, 2020)? This reported outcome indicates a consistent challenge for educators across the sector.
