“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.”Zig Ziglar
People often ask ‘What does it take to lead effectively?’ or they ask ‘How can I support my team to be the best they can and what is my role in making this happen?’. These are all really important questions to ask but the answers are often difficult to locate. So, we are going to offer you a solution. The answer perhaps to leading effectively may lie in leading with motivation and inspiration. Conversely apathy is the opposite to motivation and when experienced and demonstrated by leaders this might become infectious in the workplace and lead to staff also lacking motivation and direction.
There are a number of ideas we need to explore and will explore in this session. These include (1) what are the habits of motivational leaders and (2) how do we create the conditions for leadership to have a positive impact in our settings.
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- Identify the attributes of a motivational leader
- Explore how to deal with sticky issues in the workplace which undermine the motivation of staff
- Identify how to keep yourself focused and measured during challenging times
- List the ways in which you and your team can be the best you can be not sometimes but always.
