The role of the outdoor teacher: Making the outdoors matter

Description

Working and teaching in the outdoors is a gift. Early childhood programs spend a considerable amount of time in the outdoors and so there is much to consider in the role of the outdoor teacher. A teacher who advocates for learning outside, a teacher who advocates for quality outdoor environments and a teacher who works to support the remainder of the staff to work with the opportunities afforded outdoors. In this webinar, we will explore the role of the outdoor teacher and how we achieve maximum impact through this role. If the environment is the third teacher, then all environments, including the outdoors, needs an advocate.

Completing  The Role of the Outdoor Teacher  will contribute 1 hour of NESA Registered PD addressing standard 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
