Planning for outdoor learning: More than free play

Description

Educational programs guide the pedagogical work of all staff. They articulate what matters and how educators work with children. Unfortunately, often the outdoors lacks an educational program with the outdoors being reduced to a place where children run free and develop their gross motor skills. But we all know there is more to learning in the outdoors than that. So, what does an outdoor program look like? In this webinar we will explore how to plan for learning outdoors, what the educational program may contain and how to document the rich learning that can take place. We will hear stories of practice and you will delight in the opportunities which await.

Completing  Planning for the Outdoor Learning will contribute 1 hour of NESA Registered PD addressing standard 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
