Room Leadership Part 2: Team accountability, documentation & leading change


This webinar follows on from the Room Leaders Part 1 webinar it looks at some of the more extrinsic forces and processes that you need to support your role as the Room Leader. Developing team accountability measures and strategies are not a form of authoritarian leadership, it is a necessity for any high functioning team. Being accountable to self, each other, and the children and families, means ‘walking the talk’. We do what we say. If we have differences of opinions, we talk about it, and we own all of our actions. The educational leader and the room leader support team documentation processes. You need to be clear on the what and why of documentation processes, as well as the when and where. Change is inevitable. How your team handles change is going to come down to how you as the room leader leads the change…leaders set the tone.  With this in mind, we will also take a closer look at strategies and tips for supporting teams through transformational change. Change which leads to greater team collegiality, embedded practices, and deeper relationships with each other, the children and the families.

Completing Room Leadership Part 2: Team accountability, documentation & leading change will contribute one hour of PD addressing the following Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and aligns with the NESA criteria for Elective PD.
