Description

In this workshop, a qualified Speech Language Pathologist will unpack with you the critical knowledge required to understand language development. You will gain an understanding of language development in the under 5-year-old age group as well as some of the more common language delays and disorders that educators may come across in their work with children.

Topic areas include:

  • receptive language development (comprehension)
  • what to expect and when
  • express language development including vocabulary development
  • common language delays
  • use of augmentative communication for complex communication needs
