Documentation as Educational Leadership – a practical tool with powerful results

Description

We are used to thinking about documentation as a part of our program planning and as a key strategy to share our curriculum with families, assessors and the children. In recent years though, partly inspired by practices from Reggio Emilia, there has been an increasing emphasis on using documentation as a professional learning tool.  In this webinar, we will dive into the practical nuts and bolts of how this can look, with an emphasis on the idea of using documentation as a mentoring and educational leadership strategy. We will focus our thinking and explore the theory and practice behind ‘micro-moments’ and unpack some simple techniques that are quick, practical and concrete, yet immensely powerful at creating significant growth and development in educators’ understandings and skills in relation to planning, pedagogy, and practice.
