Presented by Philip Butler
Description
In this webinar, we reflect on the inclusion of cameras and photography in our documentation processes—the positives, the negatives, and why we use them. We will look at several strategies that support the integration of digital documentation into our everyday practices in a meaningful and valuable format. As well as discussing the traps we can fall into when we have cameras in the classroom (happy snaps, picture blogging to parents, wasted moments of engagement). The camera can be your friend and add meaning and quality to your documentation practices, or it can be a time-waster…what would you like it to be?
Completing The camera can be an educator's friend: working with digital documentation may contribute one-hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) criteria for Elective PD and addresses:
The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers: APST 5: Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
The Early Years Learning Framework: Learning Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners
The National Quality Standard: QA1: Educational program and practice
